                                         SACREDNESS  OF  LOVE

Definitions of words are helpful, and at the same time, very limiting, especially in case of words that thrive on deep contemplation.

Based on our roots, and within the confines of our experiences, we all form a concept of God. And so it is with "love". We often think we know God in 'some' ways, and yet we are far from truth, for He/She is Infinite. Similarly, we believe we comprehend love, but do we really?  TRUE  LOVE  is  infinite.

What is infinite can be approached, can be experienced, but it sure cannot be defined, for the definitions are always limiting, and limited. This unique sacred experience of TRUE LOVE has to be at a subtle plane, and this demands that we are in touch with our 'subtle' being. This 'being in touch' is a  rigorous SADHNA  in itself.

The more we dwell in the 'subtle', the more we know 'love'.

The fact that so much of our waking life is spent at 'gross' level of existence, where calculations abound, we have not given ourselves the opportunity to experience TRUE LOVE, let alone know what love really is.

True love is  ABSOLUTELY non-transactional.  This is what makes it difficult for us to experience it, to KNOW it, for we are often wrapped up in our ego. It is like oil and water ...

Our desires create our expectations. We want to give, but we want to receive in equal measure, if not more. Little do we realize that we are trying to measure the un-measureable. Every relationship at 'gross' level has expectation(s), and it is only when we transcend these expectations that we experience the  JOY  OF  LOVE.

True love knows no bargaining, it shines on its own, it radiates, and like the light of the SUN, it never diminishes by giving of itself. A passing cloud covers the sun, and we say, " the sun is gone"... the sun is always there, it is just covered sometime. And so it is with  TRUE  LOVE.  It does not change its nature based on actions and reactions.

We get affected, true love does not get affected.

As we move from 'gross' to 'subtle' in our daily lives, little by little we feel a transformation within us. It is like some layers begin to unfold, and we begin to see the transparency of LOVE more, and more, and still more. This unfoldment is accompanied with joy unspeakable.

TRUE  LOVE  gives and only gives.  This is the sacredness of love.

Dear sir

Who else can define love in such a good manner than you ? I remember some lines of 'KAMAYANI' composed by JAI SHANKAR PRASAD---

पागल रे वह मिलता है कब  ?

उसको तो देते ही है सब

यह विश्व लिए है ऋण उधार ===

My heartfelt thanks for the respect to me and for bestowing your kind words on this article, respected Gopal Narayan ji.

Best regards.

  Respected Sir,

 You well said above-

//What is infinite can be approached, can be experienced, but it sure cannot be defined, for the definitios are always limiting, and limited.//...even sir your effort is very successful to define the infinite love...really wonderful.

Whenever Your contemplations melt in the articles form...always give us light, this article is not exception.

/The more we dwell in the 'subtle',the more we know 'love'/...looking simple but how high saying.

You know sir sometimes the fog some of outer dissatisfaction covers my inner satisfaction while doing for 'subtle' then your witty, simple and much practicable articles help me too much... finally lead to complete satisfact.

I am really grateful to you for this encouragement.

Thanks a ton,sir.

Regards

Respected Vindu ji,

I honour your kind sentiments on this article.

I have been afraid that the content may have left some misunderstandings/questions in the readers, for the topic is so exhaustive that it is hard to do justice to it in a short article.

In particular, the question remains ... is it possible to attain and to maintain this high level of love between humans? Or, is THIS love the domain of love between us and God only, as it existed in the case of honourable Mira bai, and Sant Kabir ji ? This requires individual contemplation.

Thank you, indeed, for your appreciation of my thoughts. I take it as a gift from you.

Regards.

Seldom do I find time to reach posts in other active groups on this platform than reaching out those in the group of Blog. I confess, sir, it’s my complacency or these are limitations

I feel today blessed, Aa. Vijay jee, to see your article that throws the illuminating light on the meaning of TRUE LOVE.

// True love knows no bargaining, it shines on its own, it radiates, and like the light of the SUN, it never diminishes by giving of itself. //

Really so soothing the sentence it is as it makes us feel the meaning without defining anything in chaste words.

The nature of Humans is to seek sat-chit-anand and attain such status. This exploration makes the person pure in terms of emitting and receiving positive feelings. This is nothing but LOVE.

Unless we realize the core of LOVE we can’t realize the existence of the Supreme in our life.

Thanks for enriching us with the sense of pure feelings, sir.

Aadarniay Saurabh ji:

My profuse apology to you for not replying to your esteemed comment earlier. I happened to notice my oversight in this regard today.

Yes it is our innate nature to reach out and seek the Truth..... be it a discovery in sciences, an expression of deep emotions via poetry, or best of all, trying to Know the Unknowable Sat-Chit-Anand. The irony is that though it is our nature and we want to explore Him, we get so wrapped up in Maya that we forget our goal. This is when the  SACREDNESS  OF  TRUE  LOVE  brings us back to the Centre, via truthfulness, humility and surrender ... be it love for Him or for His creation.

I thank you for sharing your thoughts... they are precious.
