आईपीएल की कालिख

क्रिकेट अब खेल नहीं रहा बल्कि अकूत धन और शोहरत कमाने का जरिया भर रह गया है। क्रिकेट की लोकप्रियता ने जिस तरह की चकाचौध को जन्म दिया है उसका अंजाम शायद कुछ बेहतर तो होने की उम्मीद किसी को नहीं थी। हां, इसका स्वरूप और गहनता देखकर इस खेल को चाहने वाले आश्चर्यचकित और दुखी जरूर हैं। सभी ने यह आशा की थी कि हेंसी क्रोनिए और अजहरूद्दीन के प्रकरण से सबक लेते हुए अब कोई खिलाड़ी और खासतौर से भारतीय खिलाड़ी इस तरह की हरकतों में शिरकत नहीं करेगा लेकिन किसी का सोचा कब पूरा हुआ है और पैसे का सुरूर कब किसका सिर फिरा दे कुछ कहा नहीं जा सकता। ऐसा ही इस बार आईपीएल में फिर एक बार हुआ।

आईपीएल की रंगीनियों के पीछे की कालिख एक बार फिर दुनिया के सामने आ गयी। कपिल देव की अगुवाई में एक समूह द्वारा शुरू किए जा रहे क्रिकेट के व्यवसायिक आयोजन की प्रतिद्वंदिता में उतरे बीसीसीआई ने आईपीएल के बहाने जिस अंधी दौड़ का आयोजन किया है उसके हमाम से कितने नंगे चेहरे सामने आने हैं ये देखने वाली बात होगी। चियर्स गल्र्स की वेशभूषा से शुरू हुआ आईपीएल का विवादों से नाता इसकी श्रीगणेश करने वाले ललित मोदी के मुंह पर कालिख पुतने के साथ चरम पर पहुंचा। अब जो कुछ हो रहा है वह इस आयोजन व विवाद के स्याह पटाक्षेप की पटकथा भर है।

आईपीएल-6 जहां क्रिस गेल की धुंआधार बल्लेबाजी के लिए याद किया जाएगा वहीं तमाम चेहरों पर पुती कालिख के लिए भी याद रहेगा। श्रीसंत, अंकित चैहान व अजीत चंदेला की गिरफ्तारी से शुरू हुआ यह 20-20 ड्रामा अपने स्लाॅग ओवर की तरफ है। बिंदू और मेयप्पन की गिरफ्तारी इसकी गहरी जड़ों की तरफ इशारा करती हैं। राजीव शुक्ला, शिर्के और जगताले का इस्तीफा इस मैच के रोमांच को बढ़ाने का काम कर रहे हैं।

श्रीनिवासन द्वारा उंगलियां उठने के बावजूद भी कुर्सी से चिपके रहने और अंत में सत्ता डालमिया को हस्तांतरित करने के पीछे इस बाजार पर अपने कब्जे को न छोड़ पाने का मोह भर है। मजेदार बात यह कि इतने हो हल्ले के बाद जिन डालमिया को कर्ताधर्ता बनाया गया वे खुद भ्रष्टाचार के मुकदमे झेल रहे हैं और कुछ समय पहले ही बीसीसीआई से धकियाए गए हैं। इसका साफ आशय सिर्फ इतना है कि अपने विरोधी शरद पवार गुट को श्रीनिवासन हावी नहीं होने देना चाहते थे। वरना वे भी जानते हैं कि तब उनकी छीछालेदर होना तय था। वैसे इस रोग से केवल श्रीनिवासन ही नहीं ग्रसित हैं बल्कि बहुत कद्दावर नेता खेल एसोसिएशनों की तरफ लोभ भरी नजरों से देखते रहते हैं। शरद पवार से लेकर अरूण जेटली तक एक लंबी फेहरिस्त है ऐसे नेताओं की जिनका खेलों से कभी नाता नहीं रहा लेकिन खेलों के नियंता बने बैठे हैं। इसके पीछे कारण उनका खेल प्रेम नहीं बल्कि इनसे जुड़ी अकूत संपत्ति है जिसने इनको लार टपकाने पर मजबूर कर दिया है और यही त्रासदी भी है। मैच फिक्सिंग और सेक्स रैकेट के कलंक झेल रही खेल प्रतियोगिताएं इन राजनैतिक दखलंदाजी और बाजारू प्रवृत्ति के नीचे दम तोड़ रही हैं। इस बाजार और पैसे की अधाधुंध दौड़ में खेल कितने दिन और कितना जिंदा रहता है यही देखना है।

Respected Brijesh ji ,

I read your  deep and impressive views on the risky future of IPL T-20 with concern. After clearing CAT test for admission into IIM Lucknow, aspirant students were asked in the interview why “MBA and why not Chartered Accountant? “ I guess ,had the candidate asked the interviewer politely  “ Sir, would you like to watch 5 day traditional  Cricket test match or IPL -T-20 - is full of zeal, zest ,boldness ,excitement ,glamour ,high risks ,determination and  ,entertainment “.In both these matches the players do the same thing -batting, bowling ,fielding ,catches .For  all the 80 or so IPL6, the ground was packed to  full  ,time as per convenience of the spectators of  television like you or me ..

Rest assured -such a query would have cast a spell on the interviewer .a CA takes five days to do a work and an MBA a few hours for the same . .

Let me make it emphatically clear that the very birth or conception of IPL is very different .We and your good self   very well know that the players of IPL -20 are auctioned at international level .Team owners paying highest bids purchase the players irrespective of the country or the state .Players which were in the same team earlier are now enemies or opponents..Players from Punjab state play for Pune ,Delhi players play for Rajasthan and so on . Local spectators / Cricket fans favour or motivate a non- local team. Funny? Illogical ?  Isn’t  it ?

 

 .Foreigners too are also auctioned .W should not think the players -inducting foreigners having been auctioned openly are very modest, moral or humble having high integrity. .Role of foreigners indulging in dirty practices and inducing Indian players can never be ruled out .Players of the greatest character and courtesy   like Sachin Tendulkar are compelled to retire .

.Thousands of crores of rupees are embezzled daily in various scams  by dis- honourable Indian  ministers / politicians .,.We .vote and elect MPs and do not bother what they do and are tally indifferent to our political system. Respected Brijesh ji, may I tell you, that match fixing is not a big offence in IPC-Indian Penal Code .Under IPL Rules ,the players can be debarred for match fixation. Do not be disappointed, what I honestly feel, IPLs will be played with full enthusiasm and festivity . I am of the confirmed view that -.Rules of the prestigious game may be modified such as ;

 

 

 

If in one over, batsmen do not score at least 10 runs, the batsman facing that over may be declared out.

In a maiden over, both the batsmen may be declared out..

For a ‘Hat Trick’  -3 sixes ,the bowler may be penalised ,his score deducted by some runs or he may be fined in money terms and batsman encouraged by addition of runs . 

 

For a catch missed -, poor fielding, penalty be imposed.

This is my personal view point.

IPC and IPL rules for match fixing may be made harsh to

Rest assured you will enjoy the IPL as before, including excitement of Super over .For 30-36 runs in an over ,the bowler be fined heavily .

Honesty is a relative term -closely related with our present system.-.Most of the cricketers are honest .We should trust them in a nation governed by dishonest people of our choice.

Here, my purpose is not to discuss the structure of IPL or Cricket. The concern is very clearly, the increasing problem of match fixing. I just want to say that in game associations a politician must not be a office bearer. 

I request that, please, in a hindi discussion post your comment in Hindi.
